Life & Background
Before establishing herself as the face of the modern 4x4 DnB movement, Jasmin Bernard’s musical identity was forged in the underground free party circuit. Growing up in a quiet, rural town in Brittany, France, she found an escape in rave culture at an early age. By 14, she was regularly attending illegal French free parties, eventually travelling across the border to the Netherlands to immerse herself in high-tempo European hardstyle, techno, and bounce. It was here that she developed a deep affinity for the heavy, driving four-on-the-floor kick patterns that would later define her signature production style.
In 2017, Jasmin relocated to Bristol to pursue a degree in Biomedical Science at university. While navigating a demanding academic schedule, she was fully exposed to the UK’s legendary drum and bass nightlife. Inspired by the city's energy, she bought a basic USB controller, taught herself to mix, and quickly secured her first club bookings at iconic local venues like Blue Mountain just before the 2020 lockdowns.
While studying, Jasmin launched Jazzy Garms as a side hustle on Depop to support her education. What began as a small operation reselling festival clothes transformed into a bespoke, made-to-order brand when she hired a Bristol seamstress to bring her own vibrant designs to life.
During the pandemic, a customer's TikTok video showcasing a pair of reflective Jazzy Garms trousers went viral, amassing over 10 million views. The business exploded overnight. Jasmin transitioned from a student to a CEO, scaling the company out of her bedroom into two commercial units with a team of 15 staff members. Today, her handmade, high-end rave wear is a staple of festival culture, worn by major electronic artists, reality TV personalities, and Hollywood actors like Vanessa Hudgens.
Rather than keeping her passions separate, Jasmin aligned her thriving fashion house with her rapidly rising musical alter-ego: [IVY]. By fusing the 174 BPM energy of drum and bass with the relentless four-beat rhythm of her early rave days, she built an aggressive, donk-infused signature sound that completely disrupted traditional syncopated breakbeat formulas.

Expanding her musical footprint beyond drum and bass, [SAFYRE] is Jasmin’s high-velocity hard bounce, neorave, and hard trance alter-ego. Originally launched as a secondary project purely for fun, the alias quickly took on a life of its own, landing major releases on premier hard-dance labels like Teletech - with energetic, 4×4 heavy tracks like "Hula Hoop" and "Rock That Body". Centred around fast, bouncy, 2000s-inspired nostalgic vocals, euphoric mashups, and unforgiving tempos, the project serves as her ultimate outlet for unfiltered European rave music. The project reached a massive milestone at festival ground-zero with the highly anticipated debut of the "[IVY] vs [SAFYRE]" concept showcase, which closed out major Boomtown’s MainStage Hydro XL, a set designed for complete dancefloor chaos.
